The Tullie House Restaurant and Garden
The garden has had an historical make-over. New additions include a Roman and Jacobean themed features and planting. The historical planting includes nectar rich native plants to encourage insects and bring in wildlife to the area. The Roman planting, includes a variety of herbs, which will be used for teaching Roman cookery and making Roman medicines.
The Heritage Garden project was funded through the Museum Development Fund, part of ‘Renaissance’, a national scheme to transform England’s regional museums.

The Guildhall Museum
Five minutes walk from Tullie House, the Guildhall overlooks the town centre.
The Guildhall is a half timbered house on the corner of the Greenmarket and Fisher Street. It was given to the city by Richard de Redeness and was long used as the meeting place of the town's eight medieval Trade Guilds. Four of the Guilds survive today and continue to meet annually in the building on Ascension Day.
